Interchange began in 1986 with the sole intention of creating fun, friendship and support for children, teenagers and adults with disabilities.
Started by the parent of a child with a disability, over the years, Interchange has grown its service with the help of our families and volunteers. We offer many fun and exciting opportunities in community based environments.
Interchange focuses on social and life skills in a group or 1:1 environments. Programs can be individually tailored to suit you and your child, so please give us a call to discuss our programs and to see what Interchange can do for you!
Interchange is a well-respected and longstanding not-for-profit organisation within the Adelaide community. We provide quality support and services for families, children, teens and adults with disabilities through our qualified staff and volunteers. We believe that increased participation in the community and in recreational activities builds confidence, self-esteem, intellectual independence and life skills.
Over the years, Interchange has evolved from our flagship respite 'Host Family' program to include group programs, weekend camps (catering for all age groups) and 1:1 mentoring with our specialist staff and volunteers. All of our programs are tailored to individual NDIS plan needs with the goal being fun, friendship and trying new things!
The vision, mission and beliefs of Interchange underpin everything we do. These are the values that this organisation was built upon.
